What are the responsibilities and job description for the P&W - Boxline Associate - DIST (USA) position at Ravago Americas?
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Primarily responsible for assisting Box Line Operator on all Box line and de-bagging activities, and any other duties assigned by Packaging Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work in a safe manner and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE.
Ensure that you have a productive, safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Assist in performance of required clean down duties in between packaging assignments.
Report any visual damages or deficiencies to Box Line Operator and/or Packaging Supervisor
Use a forklift to move product from Box Line and/or into a bay location
Accurately fill out any required paperwork for a production run
Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner
Identify damages and quality deficiencies
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Packaging Supervisor
Work with the crew lead to plan the day’s production and begin making proper boxes at the beginning of the shift.
Once sufficient boxes are made, place pads in bottom of boxes, liners on the inside and cover with lid to prevent airborne contamination from entering the box.
Continue making boxes throughout the shift so the production line is always sufficiently fed.
KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment.
Good math, language, and reading skills
Knowledge of proper PPE requirements
Considerate and respectful to coworkers
Good math, language, and reading skills
Able to follow instructions given for daily tasks
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day
Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
Frequently lift up to 55 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot and stand for long periods of time.
Occasional climbing of ladders
Use of basic warehouse equipment
Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
