Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below .
- General Policy
- Must be able to interact with management and production to accommodate testing and quality needs, while providing excellent customer service.
- Run sample products on lab extruders and molders.
- Analysis of colors through spectrophotometer and color correction through the use of applicable pigment.
- Must be able to recognize non-conforming products and reject according to procedure.
- Know product lines and the customer’s specifications.
- Required to work comfortably with Microsoft Office, including MS Word and Excel.
- Required to work comfortably with both English and Metric systems.
- Required to know basic concepts of algebra and perform proportions, percentages and calculations.
- Practical and analytical abilities while able to multi-task.
- Maintain/improve laboratory cleanliness and origination.
- Laboratory equipment PM’s and verification.
- Train, coach, assist and verify manufacturing personnel to be able to properly perform in-process product inspections.
- Prepare customer certifications and enter SPC data from on-line and off-line testing.
- Support manufacturing by assisting with re-work, formulation, SPC reactions plan adjustments and SOC changes as necessary to produce product within specifications.
- Follow all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures.
- Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.
- Other duties as assigned by the Lab Manager.
- Education:
- Must have High School diploma or of equivalent value.
- Experience:
- Must have good verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Must have computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to operate a fork truck.
