Qualifications
- Digital Processing/Preparation of Print, Signs, Mailing
- Ability to preflight all incoming files from client and customer service team

- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
- Intermediate ability to work in MS Word and MS Outlook
- Ability to sustain high volumes of output daily, with low error rate
- Ability to maintain professional and positive communication with all employees under strict deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to understand units of measure and conversion
- Demonstrated aptitude for critical thinking and attention to detail
- Must be able to multi-task and exhibit time management skills

Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility of a Pre-Press Technician is to process client supplied artwork for a variety of product types, primarily working in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
- The Digital Prepress Pre-Press Technician will be responsible for preparing high volumes of print ready files, will quality check others’ file prep and be expected to have a low rate of file prep errors
- Make any necessary adjustments to prepare art file for printing
- Uses statuses within RPM Order Management System to communicate holds, customer notes etc.
- Process large volumes of print ready files in a timely and efficient manner
- Save all working files in an organized, clearly named file structure
- Ability to troubleshoot unique requests
- Manage email inbox to monitor for critical or rush jobs that need to be processed and act/respond in a timely fashion
- Ability to be flexible with tasks as well as prioritizing the business needs
- Use a combination of programs to build files for custom requests
- Confirm sizes and other parameters are correct, based on order specification
- Use Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to open production files

Job Description Overview: Pre-Press Technician
- 60% of position responsibility -Print both digital and Offset
- 20% of Position responsibility – Signs- Banners -Wall Graphics – Window Graphics -Vehicle Wraps
- 10% of Position responsibilities – Mailing – Working with Mailing software
- 5% of Position responsibilities – Designs
- 5 of Position responsibilities - Manage and update print flow software

• Process large volumes of print ready files in a timely and efficient manner.
• Save all working files in an organized, clearly named file structure.
