What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interim Infant Attachment Teacher position at Ravenswood Community Child Care Center?
RC4 is a small non-profit organization with NAEYC accreditation. We are seeking an interim infant room attachment teacher to fill an extended leave position and work with children ages 6 weeks to 15-18 months. This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children and work closely with 2 other attachment teachers, as well as support staff and the admin team. The classroom has 9 babies and each attachment teacher is assigned 3 infants. Each attachment teacher is responsible to create lesson plans, follow and maintain or change the infant's schedule as needed, communicate with parents, and log observations in Teaching Strategies GOLD for their 3 assigned attachments. Responsibilities
- Instruct children ages 6 weeks to 15-18months old in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
- Shift is 8-4:30
Qualifications:
- Minimum of associates degree in early childhood education or a bachelors degree in early childhood development or child development is preferred with at least 1 year of teaching experience. A bachelors degree in any field with at least 6 credits in early childhood/child development will be considered as well.
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
