What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Assistant Teacher position at Ravenswood Community Child Care Center?
Ravenswood Community Child Care Center (RC4) is NAEYC accredited. RC4 has been providing quality early childhood education in the Ravenswood/Lincoln Square neighborhood since 2002. We take pride in our small family-like community, focusing on providing a strong educational foundation to the youngest in our community. We are non profit organization committed to providing care and tuition assistance to young parents with educational goals. Our curriculum is play based and places an emphasis on the importance of social emotional learning.
The preschool classroom has up to 18 children with 2 lead teachers and 1 assistant teacher. The classroom uses Experience Early Learning Curriculum to guide lesson planning and classroom structure. All 3 teachers work collaboratively to provide a loving and caring environment or children to grow and learn.
An assistant teacher in this position must have some college course work ideally in early childhood education, child development, or related field. Hours for this position would be 8:30-5 Monday through Friday. We are looking for someone to join our team of qualified teachers who is fun, energetic, organized, and has a love of children and teaching!
