ORGANIZATION
The mission of Ravenswood Family Health Network (RFHN) is to improve the health of the community by providing culturally sensitive, integrated primary and preventative health care to all, regardless of ability to pay or immigration status, and collaborating with community partners to address the social determinants of health.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the administrative direction of the Director of Compliance, the Compliance Program Associate serves as a patient resource for matters related to complaint resolution, compliance, and policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To be performed in accordance with RFHN Policies and Procedures
- Listens to patient and patient family complaints, documents details, and determines what resolution is sought by the patient from the compliance hotline.
- Manages and documents formal grievance process from the organization’s partner health plans.
- Assists the Compliance Director in conducting internal investigations, as needed.
- Alerts the Compliance Director of high-risk incidents by documenting unresolved complaints and potential legal actions.
- Participates in weekly and monthly New Hire Orientation presentations.
- Manages the organization’s policy management system and coordinates with high-level management on the policy creation and reviewal process.
- Assists the Compliance Director with management of the Maize auditing system.
- Assists the Compliance Director with submitting federal applications on behalf of the organization (i.e. FTCA Redeeming Application).
- Assists the Compliance Director with development of high-level reports and participates in Board Compliance Committee reporting (i.e. quarterly reports, annual reports, workplans).
Administrative Duties
- Assists with management of education and training system (HealthStream).
- Assists in creating, writing and implementing workflows.
- Helps maintain physical and digital compliance files.
- Participates in conducting organization-wide audits and reports findings to appropriate management.
- Serves as liaison for Board Compliance Committee; assists with scheduling meetings, taking notes and presenting reports.
- Other duties as assigned and requested.
General Agency Duties
- Fosters an environment that promotes trust and cooperation among patients and staff; maintains strictest confidentiality concerning all patient and employee information.
- Promotes and exemplifies in action, the mission, goals, policies, procedures and principles of RFHN to patients and other clinic staff.
- Attends RFHN staff retreats and staff meetings as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university in public health, health administration, business administration, public policy, or related field (2-4 years of experience in customer service or healthcare patient relations may be substituted for education requirement).
- Computer literate in a Windows-based environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Time management, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural and ethnically diverse population.
- Current Driver's License in good standing and a personally owned, currently insured vehicle to drive on work related business.
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality required.
- Up to date with COVID-19 vaccines per current CDC guidelines strongly recommended.
The salary range for this position is $68,640 to $83,200 annually. However, the final base pay will be determined upon a number of individualized factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education and certification levels, and departmental budget. We also consider internal equity with our current employees when making final offers.
