The agency driver assists with the transportation of clients to and from programs and appointments at the agency.

The agency driver assists with the transportation of clients to and from programs and appointments at the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely driving clients to scheduled appointments, groups, and activities.
- Assisting in keeping the agency’s vehicle properly maintained by reporting any maintenance issues to a supervisor if needed and keeping the vehicle properly fueled and clean.
- Organizing scheduled daily routes.
- Coordinating with both agency staff and client(s) regarding driving routes.
- Deliver agency mail and items between sites.
- May transport program meals, groceries, and deliver to appropriate location/program.
- May serve in support role staff as needed for agency programs when regular support role staff are unavailable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrates safe driving skills and good judgment when transporting clients within the community.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently.
- Knowledge of potential risk issues and verbal de-escalation abilities, as well as consultation options.
- Ability to make decisions and mobilize resources quickly and effectively in an emergency.
- Demonstrates professionalism with others both inside/outside of the agency.
- Demonstrates appropriate boundaries with clients and directs them to appropriate staff members as needed.
- Receptive to supervision, including constructive feedback.
Position Details:
- Part time, 15-20 hours per week.
- Hours may vary based on need but typically include hours between 1:00pm – 8:00pm Monday through Friday.
Education and Experience:
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Minimum high school diploma
- Ability to pass a background check is required
