UX / UI Designer (Contractor)
Chicago ONLY
Are you a talented UX / UI designer with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences? We're looking for a Contractor who lives specifically in Chicago to join our clients team on a long-term contract basis . Please note : We will not consider applicants outside of Chicago or those willing to relocate . This is a full-on in-market role, so we need someone who is already based in Chicago!

Key Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in UX, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, HCI, or a related field
1-5 years of professional UX / UI experience in an enterprise or agency setting
Expertise in designing desktop and responsive web applications
Proficient in industry-standard UI tools like Figma, Sketch, InVision, Abstract, Zeplin , etc.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into digestible design solutions
Hands-on experience working with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and clients to bring their needs to life
A portfolio that showcases your ability to solve real-world design problems (Include a URL to your work for consideration)
Bonus Points for :
Experience with established design systems
Familiarity with storyboarding , data visualizations , animation , and conducting usability studies
Financial services experience (Not required, but would be a plus!)
Your Role :
Be the champion for user-centered design across all projects
Conduct discovery sessions to uncover user needs with teams and clients
Rapidly generate and communicate design concepts using sketches , digital prototypes , or motion examples
Work within an established design system while ensuring brand alignment
Incorporate feedback from business teams, clients , and product teams to refine and deliver high-impact design solutions
Deliver production-ready UI designs, collaborating closely with developers to bring the experience to life
