Summary :
As a Food & Beverage Supervisor for Rawhide Event Center you will be instrumental in orchestrating seamless and memorable experiences for guests attending a diverse range of events. Working across multiple venues, you will oversee all aspects of food and beverage service, ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Your leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the success of events at these dynamic locations.
Responsibilities :
Event Planning and Coordination :
- Collaborate with event organizers to understand their needs and requirements regarding food and beverage service.
- Develop comprehensive plans for each event, including menu selection, staffing requirements, and logistical arrangements.
- Consults with Senior Management in the execution of plan details such as pre / post event day and event day set up, take down and operations.
Staff Management and Training :
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of food and beverage staff, including servers, bartenders, and support personnel.Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure high performance and adherence to service standards.Vendor and Supplier Management :
Establish and maintain relationships with food and beverage vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing agreements.Coordinate deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and manage stock rotation to ensure freshness and availability.Customer Service Excellence :
Set a culture of exceptional customer service among staff, emphasizing courtesy, efficiency, and attention to guest needs.Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally, striving to exceed expectations.Compliance and Safety :
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including food handling and alcohol service guidelines.Implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and guests.Financial Management :
Monitor and manage food and beverage costs, labor expenses, and other financial metrics to optimize profitability.Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.Event Execution and Logistics :
Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of food and beverage service areas for events, ensuring efficiency and cleanliness.Coordinate with other departments, such as facilities, security, and event organizers, to ensure smooth event operations.Continuous Improvement :
Solicit feedback from guests, staff, and event organizers to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in food and beverage service and event management, incorporating innovations as appropriate.Supervisor Responsibility :
Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes hiring, work allocation, training, problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance; provides guidance and feedback for assigned staff.

Working Conditions :
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work will primarily be performed in an office environment.
Work will be performed both inside and outside on a regular basis, in most weather conditions.Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required as a normal part of this position.Occasional local day travel, Local travel to managed businesses.Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk extended period. The employee occasionally is required to bend, climb, stoop, lift, carry, push, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and / or move 15 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED.Food Handlers CardServ Safe Certification within 90 days of hire.One (1) year of experience in event planning, management or related experience.CPR and First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire.Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for client meetings and events.Valid AZ driver's license, provide a 39-month satisfactory MVR report.Obtain a Tribal operator driving permit at the time of hire.A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs.Acknowledge and agree to maintain a drug-free workplace.Preferred Qualifications :
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.Knowledge of food safety regulations, alcohol service laws, and best practices in hospitality management.Knowledge and experience working with Gila River Indian Community or other Native American Communities.Proficient in MS office and other relevant workplace tools.
