What You'll Be Doing
- Estimate and proposal creation
- Proposal tracking and customer follow-up
- Project and job cost setups (project handoff – precon to construction)
- Contract negotiations and redlining
- Establish project schedule baselines
- Onboarding projects, folder and file setups
- Subcontractor and vendor solicitation
- Linear takeoffs
- Earthwork volume takeoffs
- Sales & business development for potential new projects
- Professional communication with general contractors, owners and municipality representatives
- Cooperate and communicate with others in a team environment
What You Offer
- Minimum 2 years of estimating experience (heavy civil) in a construction environment.
- Minimum 2 years of college, preferably in a construction related field.
- Experience in heavy civil construction related projects.
- Experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Building Connected, Bluebeam, Planswift, Microsoft Suite, and Agtek is preferred.
- Open to learn other software applications.
- Ability to read plans.
- A team player who works well with others or independently.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
- Must be self-motivated, calm under pressure, and consistently able to meet deadlines.
- Organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Positive attitude.
