RAWSO Constructors is a leading civil contractor in Middle Tennessee focused in earthwork, heavy civil infrastructure, and utilities in both the private and public markets. We are a growing company, currently looking for a driven, competent individual to join our team.
Job Summary
As our Project Engineer, you will work to support our Project Management team in planning, coordination, cost tracking and accounting, procurement and client relations amongst many other things. What You'll Be Doing
- Assist in project contracts, purchase orders, subcontracts, service agreements, etc.
- Material procurement & quantity tracking.
- Cost Management: Cost projections, change orders, job cost analysis, pay application submission & risk analysis.
- Document Control: Write and submit RFIs, RFPs, material submittals, track and analyze drawing revisions, and maintain organized file structure.
- Build and maintain project schedules.
- Update and maintain TN One Call tickets.
- Assist with vendor invoice approvals and subcontractor cost management.
- Various other duties as assigned by project managers.
- Cooperate and communicate with others in a team environment.
What You Offer
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a construction related industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or similar field.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Drive, Google Sheets & Docs.
- Experience in PDF software, estimating/takeoff, and accounting programs is preferred.
- Easily learn other software applications.
- A team player who works well with others or independently.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and creativity required.
- Must be self-motivated, calm under pressure, and consistently able to meet deadlines.
- Organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Positive attitude.
