Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Agronomy Application Specialist to join our team at Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers. As a key member of our agronomy department, you will be responsible for providing professional application and service to our customers and their fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate daily activities, needs, and accomplishments with the location manager and/or operations manager.
- Apply agronomy products to customer fields, including dry and liquid fertilizer, chemicals, lime, and NH3.
- Assist in housekeeping and maintenance of facility grounds, including mowing, spraying weeds, and moving snow.
- Assist in outbound and inbound agronomy products.
- Operate all equipment and vehicles according to company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws.
- Ensure safety compliance through plant inspections, custom applicator inspections, near miss and unsafe condition reporting, and direct communication with location management.
- Maintain and record maintenance of application equipment, tender equipment, NH3 equipment, pickups, and side-dress equipment.
- Record daily application logs.
- Assist with measurement and counting of inventory of dry and liquid fertilizers, NH3, and chemicals.
- Scout fields for insects and weeds in the absence of sales agronomists.
- Follow all applicable State and Federal DOT rules and regulations.
- Read, understand, and follow all company policies and procedures.
