We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Day Program Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support and assistance to people with developmental disabilities in a day program setting, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist people supported in daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, skill development, and community involvement.
- Support people in achieving their personal goals and objectives as outlined in their person-centered plans.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
- Document and report on people's progress and any significant changes in behavior or health.
- Collaborate with team members, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday; 7:30-4pm
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in human services or a related field preferred.
- Must have a valid Illinois driver's license and the ability to become PACE certified.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Basic knowledge of developmental disabilities and related support services.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a post offer Drug test
