WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AS OUR FIELD SERVICE SCHEDULER
A "Field Service Scheduler" is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the scheduling of service technicians to efficiently complete customer service requests at various locations, ensuring timely delivery of services by assigning the right technician to the right job at the right time, while managing customer expectations and maintaining accurate scheduling records within a designated area or territory; key duties include prioritizing service calls, managing technician availability, route planning, and communicating with both customers and technicians regarding appointment details and any schedule changes. You will play a key role in the seamless operation of our service team.
Key Responsibilities:
•Scheduling Service Calls:
Receive and review incoming service requests, prioritize based on urgency and customer needs, and assign technicians based on their availability, skillset, and location.
•Route Optimization:
Utilize scheduling software to plan efficient routes for technicians, minimizing travel time and maximizing productivity.
•Customer Communication:
Contact customers to schedule appointments, confirm details, and provide updates on technician arrival times.
•Technician Coordination:
Communicate with technicians regarding assigned jobs, service details, required parts, and any schedule changes.
•Availability Management:
Monitor technician schedules, manage time off requests, and ensure adequate coverage for service demands.
•Data Management:
Maintain accurate customer and job information within the scheduling system, including service history and customer notes.
•Performance Monitoring:
Track key metrics such as on-time arrival rates, completion rates, and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement.
•Problem Resolution:
Address scheduling conflicts, customer complaints, and unexpected issues that may arise with technicians.
Required Skills:
•Strong organizational skills: Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and complex schedules
•Excellent communication skills: Clear and concise communication with customers and technicians, both verbally and in writing
•Technical proficiency: Familiarity with scheduling software and mapping tools
