POSITION: Middle School Two Way Dual Language Math/Science
Reynolds Middle School
SCHEDULE: 2024 – 2025 School Year
SALARY: Based on the 2024 - 2025 Teacher Salary Schedule
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)
- Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with applicable endorsements
- Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated organizational ability, punctuality and exceptional work attendance record
- Knowledge of Balanced Literacy or willingness to learn
- Willingness to participate in sheltered training such as Guided Language Acquisition Design (GLAD)
- Ability and willingness to work toward improving student achievement based on state and national standards, school improvement plan, and all other state requirements
- Ability and willingness to participate in required trainings and professional development opportunities
- Demonstrate a core belief system that matches the guiding principles and vision/mission of the school and be willing to operate accordingly
- Willingness to work with a system that allows for peer collaboration and student intervention within the work day
- Willingness to implement best practice strategies for student learning and interventions as developed by the school
- Ability and willingness to work toward improving student achievement based on state and national learning standards, school improvement plans, and all other state requirements
- Willingness to participate collaboratively with staff members for the purpose of improving student learning including cross grade level and grade level partners
- Commitment to team with dual language learners
- Willingness to attend necessary Two Way trainings and meetings
- Willingness to collaborate and work as defined by the school improvement plan
- Willingness to team with the 7th grade Spanish Dual Language teacher
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position)
- Previous classroom teaching experience
- Knowledge of Bilingual Education and Two-Way Dual Immersion
- Previous Two-Way Dual Immersion classroom experience
