We are seeking a skilled and reliable OTR Commercial/Farm Implement Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Off-The-Road (OTR) commercial and farm implement tires. This role requires hands-on experience with large equipment tires, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain OTR commercial and farm implement tires on-site and in the field.
Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation, providing recommendations for service or replacement.
Mount and dismount tires using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring proper balancing and alignment.
Operate tire service trucks and equipment to safely perform on-site and roadside tire services.
Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs on tires for agricultural, construction, and commercial vehicles.
Maintain accurate records of services performed and communicate effectively with customers regarding tire conditions and service recommendations.
Adhere to all company safety policies and industry regulations, ensuring a safe work environment.
Maintain inventory of tires, tools, and supplies in service vehicles and shop locations.
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience as a tire technician, preferably in OTR, farm implement, or commercial settings.
Knowledge of tire repair techniques, mounting, balancing, and alignment procedures.
Ability to operate tire service equipment, including hydraulic jacks, tire changers, and balancing machines.
Strong mechanical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy tires and equipment (up to 100 lbs.).
Willingness to work in various weather conditions and travel for on-site service calls.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Must be safety-conscious and adhere to company and industry safety standards.
