Maintenance Technician $25.50-27.51, hourly

Huntcliffe Apartments is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is full time, benefit eligible. Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 AM to 5 PM.

Job Summary :

The Maintenance Technician performs various duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community. Handles repairs and improvements of vacant apartments for a market ready status. Works as a team participant along with the Maintenance & Office staff to ensure the community meets quality maintenance standards.

Job Duties :

• Prepares or oversees the preparation of all vacant apartments to market ready condition
• Keep accurate records regarding work orders, turn checklists, preventative maintenance, annual inspections and inventories
• Perform light electrical, plumbing and carpentry work
• Keeps the property clean and free of debris and trash
• Appliance repair
• Painting
• Lock repair and changes
• Install and repair window coverings
• HVAC repairs
• Plumbing repairs

Requirements : Requirements :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand; and use hands to handle / lift objects. The employee occasionally must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds. Additionally, the employee, on occasion, must crouch, kneel, or climb stairs. Most work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. This position requires substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and / or fingers. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Must have the ability to walk short distances. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
