About the Role:
We are hiring a Field Service Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with a well-established client in the industrial equipment sector. This role involves the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors, as well as other compressed air system components. It is a field-based position that requires strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, service, and maintain compressed air systems and components
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using precision tools
Interpret wiring schematics and equipment diagrams
Complete accurate documentation of service activities, time, and materials
Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
Recommend preventative maintenance and system improvement solutions
Ensure safety standards are followed in all work environments
Daily travel to customer sites; occasional overtime and emergency service may be required
Key Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications a plus
3 5 years of experience with industrial/commercial mechanical systems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and mobile tech (smartphones/tablets)
Must supply own standard tools
Valid driver's license with a clean record
EPA Certification or refrigeration experience preferred
Able to work in varied physical environments and lift/move up to 50 lbs
