About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Compliance Director to join our direct client's team. This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the USA. The ideal candidate will oversee and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations while driving ethical practices and fostering a culture of compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Draft, update, and enforce corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines to meet regulatory requirements.
- Design and deliver compliance training programs to employees and stakeholders to promote awareness and adherence.
- Oversee and conduct periodic internal audits and investigations to assess the effectiveness of compliance programs.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including legal, HR, and operations, to ensure a unified approach to compliance.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations, ensuring the organization proactively adapts to maintain compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in compliance, legal, or risk management roles.
Deep knowledge of federal and state regulations, including but not limited to GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, or industry-specific standards.
