About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Energy Efficiency Specialist to join our client's team in a fully remote capacity. This role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and implementing energy-saving opportunities to help clients optimize their energy use and achieve sustainability goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for promoting energy efficiency.
Responsibilities
Energy Audits and Assessments : Conduct detailed energy audits of residential, commercial, and industrial facilities to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Energy-Saving Strategies : Develop and implement customized energy-saving plans, including upgrades to lighting, HVAC systems, and other energy-intensive equipment.
Technical Analysis : Use energy modeling tools to analyze building systems and simulate potential savings from proposed measures.
Program Implementation : Assist clients in adopting energy efficiency programs, including securing incentives and rebates from utility providers.
Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of energy efficiency projects.
Training and Education : Provide training and resources to clients and stakeholders on best practices for energy conservation and management.
Data Monitoring and Reporting : Track energy usage before and after implementing measures and prepare detailed reports to showcase savings and ROI.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal energy efficiency standards and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CEM, LEED, or BPI) are highly desirable.
Proven experience in conducting energy audits and implementing efficiency projects.
Proficiency in energy modeling and simulation software such as EnergyPlus, eQUEST, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and insulation technologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with utility incentive programs, rebate structures, and compliance requirements.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote work environment.
