About the Role :
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our client. This full-time role requires a highly motivated and self-directed professional to assess and resolve mechanical, technical, and electrical issues across the facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and working with automated and non-automated production equipment.
Schedule :
Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM 3 : 30 PM
Flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holiday shifts as needed
Key Responsibilities :
Diagnose and repair a variety of production equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a fast-paced environment.
Conduct preventative maintenance on production machinery such as mixing and extruding systems, packaging machines, metal detectors, sealers, motors, pumps, and conveying equipment.
Identify root causes of operational issues and implement effective solutions.
Work closely with operations personnel, providing technical guidance and support.
Follow all safety, food safety (GMPs), and environmental standards to ensure compliance.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, troubleshooting steps, and completed repairs.
Utilize technical manuals, precision measurement tools, and electrical / mechanical schematics for troubleshooting.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of maintenance activities, including compliance with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) policies .
Identify and implement continuous improvement and reliability opportunities to enhance operations.
Key Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required; technical trade certification, military training, vocational training, or a Journeyman License is preferred.
2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing equipment operation, repairs, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with pumps, mechanical drives, lubrication, fasteners, piping, motors, pneumatics, sensors, proximity switches, and automatic valves .
Experience with 3-phase motors, motor controls, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and PLCs is required.
Familiarity with food industry equipment is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics .
Proficiency in using power tools, maintenance shop equipment, and web-based work order systems .
Physical ability to lift / push / pull up to 60 lbs , stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, and handle varying environmental conditions (hot and cold).
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
