Key Responsibilities
- Estimate Preparation : Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for complex projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
- Bid Management : Independently manage 2-3 Public Works bid opportunities per month, preparing comprehensive estimates for RFP submissions.
- Conceptual & Final Estimating : Provide complete preliminary and final cost assessments for CM / GC work.
- Client & Stakeholder Collaboration : Engage with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues during negotiations and contract execution.
- Site Assessments : Conduct site visits to gather information, assess project conditions, and identify potential risks.
- Subcontractor & Supplier Coordination : Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
- Project Cost Monitoring : Review project budgets throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to estimates and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Reporting & Documentation : Prepare detailed reports and presentations, including cost breakdowns, risk assessments, and feasibility studies.
- Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new materials, and emerging construction techniques to enhance estimating accuracy.
Requirements & Qualifications
10 years of experience as a construction estimator with a strong track record of accurate and competitive bid preparation.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
