Job Description : Remote Survey Technician

We are hiring a skilled Survey Technician to join our team remotely. This position focuses on processing survey data, performing GIS analysis, and assisting with technical documentation and mapping. While the role does not require on-site fieldwork, it involves close collaboration with field survey teams to ensure accurate data interpretation and project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Process raw survey data collected from field teams, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Utilize software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or other CAD tools to prepare detailed survey drawings, plats, and maps.
• Perform GIS analysis using tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, or related software to support topographic mapping, boundary surveys, and infrastructure assessments.
• Analyze and interpret field notes, sketches, and measurements to generate accurate technical documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, surveyors, and engineers to resolve discrepancies and clarify project requirements.
• Assist in preparing reports, data visualizations, and deliverables for clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain organized records of project files and data using cloud-based platforms (Google Drive, Dropbox, or SharePoint).
• Stay updated on the latest survey technologies, tools, and best practices to improve workflow efficiency.

Key Qualifications

3 years of experience as a survey technician, with a strong focus on data processing and GIS analysis.

Proficient in survey software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Trimble Business Center, or Leica Infinity.

Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex datasets.
