Utility Quality Control Inspector

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 90% of the workday.
- Ability to sit for office tasks for up to 50% of the workday.
- Occasional bending, squatting, and climbing ladders or stairways as required.
- Ensure the quality of materials, structures, and components in pressure vessels and tanks throughout the production process.
- Verify that all products comply with relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, etc.).
- Conduct independent inspections and checks of materials, parts, and final products.
- Assist in defining and implementing a QA/QC program that meets all regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and document Quality Control inspections and findings in compliance with company policies.
- Support the QA/QC Inspector Supervisor with training programs and clerical tasks.
- Assist in preparing, tracking, maintaining, and distributing quality reports, logs, and records.
- Ensure all received materials are properly marked with heat numbers and Smith Identifying numbers.
- Handle multiple time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced, job-shop environment.
- Manage electronic document systems, data entry, and compliance tracking.
- Collaborate with Production Supervisors, Safety Managers, and QC Inspectors on administrative tasks and quality control documentation.
- Maintain compliance with material control procedures and oversee implementation across teams.
