Sanitation Worker
POSITION SPECIFICS
Reports To: Sanitation Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly
ROLE
SUMMARY
The Sanitation position assists the Sanitation Supervisor in cleaning bakery side of facility and cleaning and sterilizing equipment. This position reports to the Sanitation Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Ability to work in a high-speed work environment
- Trained and certified as a Scissor lift operator
- Understands and complies with all company safety rules and polices
- Understands and complies with all company GMP Food Safety Policies and Procedures particularly those related to working in the different production areas
- Can follow directions to properly clean equipment as well as mix and dispense chemicals per company’s SSOP procedures
- Follow both verbal and written directions
- Ability to push and/or pull bread carts
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
- Familiar with operating floor scrubbers and high-pressure sprayers
- Documenting restroom cleaning schedules
- Documenting exterior policing schedule
- Collects and removes garbage from production areas

QUALIFICATIONS
ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Environment is in a cold temperature food manufacturing plant - RTE Department.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Able to work in a high speed and high temperature work environment
- Ability to read and understand directions
- Have basic math skills
- Dependable and reliable
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs.
