Position Title: Customer Service Representative
Exempt Status: Non-Exempt
Accountable To: Customer Service Supervisor
Job Summary: As a Customer Service Representative your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and customers in the food industry. You will act as a liaison between the company and its clients, ensuring their needs are met and inquiries are resolved promptly. This role is crucial in maintaining and strengthening client relationships, driving sales growth, and promoting customer satisfaction.
Duties/Responsibilities
1. Customer Assistance: Provide courteous and efficient assistance to customers via phone, email, or in-person, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and orders related to food products.
2. Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company's food products, including ingredients, packaging, pricing, and availability, in order to provide accurate information to customers.
3. Order Processing: Receive and process customer orders accurately, ensuring that product specifications, quantities, and delivery dates align with customer requirements.
4. Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer complaints or issues related to orders, deliveries, quality, or billing, ensuring timely and satisfactory solutions.
5. Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to assist in generating new leads and opportunities. Upsell or cross-sell products to existing customers where appropriate.
6. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, orders, and inquiries in the company's CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
7. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely product availability for customers.
8. Feedback Collection: Gather customer feedback and insights on products and services to help identify areas for improvement and enhance customer satisfaction.
9. Communication: Keep customers informed about product updates, promotions, and any relevant company news.
10. Compliance: Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and food safety standards when handling customer inquiries and orders.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.

- Problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset.
- Knowledge of food products, food safety standards, and industry trends is advantageous.

- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
- Previous customer service or sales experience, preferably in the food industry.
