Raye IT Consulting is looking for an exceptional and seasoned IT Project Manager to support a U.S. Government agency. This individual will perform agile project management activities for high profile programs and projects, working with cross-functional IT teams and product owners to deliver business solutions; and to provide expert guidance and expertise to self-organizing teams in the areas of agile / iterative planning, agile execution techniques, and cross-team coordination.
Project manager responsibilities :
Leads projects that involve the successful management of teams to analyze, design, integration, testing, documenting, converting, extending, and implementing automated information and / or telecommunications systems.
- Performs day-to-day management of overall support operations, possibly involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations.
- Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and production of all contract support activities.
- Establishes and alters (as necessary) corporate management structure to direct effective contract support activities.
- Performing agile project management activities including planning, execution, tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties / vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Provide support for the coordination, preparation, and reporting of project statuses on a routine basis.
- Develop and implement summary project report structures and project success metrics.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques and report and escalate to management as needed.
- Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders and perform risk management to minimize potential risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
