Raye IT is looking for a Network Engineer to help with design, implementation, integration, operation, optimization, and maintenance of network solutions. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background and hands-on experience in all aspects of networking engineering, including network security.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a fast-paced, collaborative, multi-discipline team in support of U.S. Government and provide technical subject matter expertise in the field of network engineering.
- Define opportunities for new and improved business process solutions.
- The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background and hands-on experience in all aspects of networking engineering, including network security.
- Provides expert analysis and advice on business matters and IT solutions, to program officials and managers.
- Duties include but not limited to communicates complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel, carries out feasibility studies and/or gap analysis, conducts business process reengineering, and forecasting based on industry best practices.
- Ensure the architecture and design of cloud-hosted IT systems are secure and meet federal requirements.
- Review cloud security policy and provides recommendations for improvement to enhance the security posture within the cloud as well as the ability to meet protection, detection, monitoring and response requirements for systems and data.
- Provide technical direction and engineering knowledge for communications activities including planning, designing, developing, configuring, testing, installing, and integration of network infrastructure.
- Ensure that adequate and appropriate planning is provided for remote hardware and communications facilities to develop and implement methodologies for analysis, installation, and support of voice communications systems.
- Respond to user complaints to research complex problems associated with the organization network devices.
- Performs Adds, Moves and Changes. Monitors and responds
to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems.
Qualifications
- 5 Years of experience or relevant and transferrable skills preferred
- Hands on experience with Fortinet
- Proven expertise designing and supporting SD-WAN services in an enterprise environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
- Experience in DevOps and related disciplines highly desired.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (scrum, lean, xp) and cross-functional teams
- Working knowledge of Zero trust practices
