Asset Management Trader

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accepting new accounts, daily cash additions, withdrawals and cancels for all retail accounts.
• Creates and completes retail and institutional orders on the allocation or program trade level.
• Updates trading models, performance meters and other position and execution reports.
• Enters transactions and any client restrictions into all necessary systems.
Assists with the review of accounts to ensure they meet the Portfolio Manager
• 's specifications.
• Creates spreadsheets and other required reports.
• Recommends transactions to adjust client accounts when necessary.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge of:

• Fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of customer service.
• Fundamental investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.

Skill in:

• Administering a high level of customer service.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Data analysis and review.
• Attention to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.
• Identifying the needs of customers through effective questioning and listening techniques.
• Problem solving sufficient to effectively analyze, research and resolve inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
• Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, databases and spreadsheets.

Ability to:

• Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients and customers.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, internal partners, and external parties.
• Work under pressure on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• Analyze a high volume of transactions and data collection.
• Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner.
• Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Organize, prioritize, and manage tasks and projects to complete work efficiently.
