What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Lab Tech position at Raymondville Pediatrics?
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lab Technician who is ready to take on a variety of responsibilities within a medical facility. The ideal candidate will have experience performing blood draws, urine cultures, and swabs, among other laboratory tasks. In addition to lab duties, this position requires a willingness to cross-train and assist in other departments, including but not limited to medical assistant tasks, patient referrals, physical exams, reception duties, and taking vitals.
Key Responsibilities: Perform blood draws, urine cultures, and swabs accurately and efficiently. Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens for analysis. Cross-train and assist in various departments as needed, including: Medical Assistant duties (e.g., assisting with patient exams)Managing patient referrals and coordinating appointments Reception duties (e.g., greeting patients, handling phone calls)Taking and recording patient vitals Maintain accurate patient records and lab results in compliance with regulations. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized lab environment. Collaborate with medical staff to provide high-quality patient care.
