Are you a people-focused professional with a passion for customer service and attention to detail? Our school district is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to be the welcoming face of our HR department. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for new and current employees, providing exceptional support and ensuring a positive experience for all staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and applicants, providing friendly and professional assistance.
- Guide new hires through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition into the district.
- Assist employees with benefits, payroll, and general HR inquiries.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
- Support HR processes such as recruitment, orientation, and compliance tracking.
- Manage department financial transactions.
- Collaborate with district leadership to foster a welcoming and supportive work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong customer service skills and a welcoming demeanor.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Experience in human resources, administrative support, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and HR systems is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or experience in Human Resources preferred
Salary: $18.34-$22.36/hr, depending on education and previous experience. (12 month work calendar; 12 paid holidays; 8 hour workday)
Benefits: This is considered a full time position with benefits available after 60 days of employment.
