Job Description
RAYNOR INC. is a nationally recognized industry leader with over 60 years of experience in Material Handling and Access Technologies. Raynor provides installation and service of commercial overhead door systems, loading dock equipment, commercial entry doors and automated gate systems. Raynor is seeking an ambitious Field Service Technician to be located in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
The Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining customers’ overhead doors, loading dock equipment, commercial entry doors and automated gate systems. This performance-driven position will help maintain our 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. The right candidate will be mechanically and technically proficient and possess the interpersonal skills to thrive in this customer service focused position. All new hires will receive on-site training and certification to service and install Material Handling and Access Technology equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install/ Repair/ Replace residential & commercial garage doors and garage door openers.
- Conduct repairs pertaining to the operation of overhead doors, commercial entry doors and dock leveling systems.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshoot commercial entry door repairs.
- Ability to work outdoors and at heights between 6ft - 24ft in scissor lifts or on ladders.
- Ability to manage inventory on the service vehicle.
- Adhere to all codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to drive a company service vehicle.
- Ability to manage and complete work orders efficiently.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in carpentry, vehicle repairs, heavy equipment installation, or other related fields is a plus.
- Welding expertise and certification is highly preferred.
- Carpentry and fabricating experience are preferred.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Ability to work well in teams.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Background check and drug screen (required)
- Must have your own tools (basic hand tools)
Physical Requirements
- Physically able to move items and the ability to bend, climb, reach, kneel, etc. for extended periods.
- Operate hand and power tools.
- Always operate in a safety conscious manner while performing job duties.
Hours
- Full-time position of 40 hours Monday through Friday.
- Occasional hours may include evenings and weekends.
- On-Call Schedules for Evenings and Weekends
