What are the responsibilities and job description for the Incident Reporting Specialist position at Rays Baseball Club LLC?
The Reporting Specialist is a seasonal position that is crucial to recording all incidents in the Incident Management system. This position will require the incumbent to go on scene to interview all persons involved in any incidents occurring during all baseball and major events at Tropicana Field, and record the incident information electronically. This position will facilitate the goal of electronically documenting all incidents that occur at Tropicana Field. Must be available to work at least 6 hours for 70% of the scheduled MLB games, and will be required to work any large non-MLB events as needed.
Essential Functions :
- Work with, Facility Ops, Stadium Ops, Security, Fan Experience team members to create incident reports as dispatched by Command.
- Interview all persons involved in incidents to input complete reports.
- Take photos / record video and perform any additional communication needs as assigned.
- Compiling reports and logging incidents during venue operations to document patron / employee injuries that have prospective liability related concerns.
- In the event of a claim / legal case presented out of incident, one may expect to be involved in a deposition, as an on-scene witness or in relation to the contents of the incident report written by this individual.
- Perform Risk Assessments of the property, before, during and after events to ensure high quality safety measures are being met. Including but not limited to stadium seat inspections, exterior perimeter checks for pedestrian hazards.
- Report findings and recommendations to Risk Management, analyzing for possible trends and precautions the organization may take to stay risk averse.
