What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics Assembly Specialist position at Rayser Holdings?
J-TEC has immediate openings for full-time and part-time Electronics Assembly Specialists to join our team!
In this role, you will assemble electronics by building circuit boards, wiring, soldering, and testing subassemblies, following production drawings, procedures, and workmanship standards for designated product lines.
This position is scheduled between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM Monday through Friday and may include occasional second shift and/or weekend hours. Our ideal candidate will be hardworking, enthusiastic, and dependable.

What you’ll be doing:
- Perform military and commercial grade hand soldering for through-hole and surface mount circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic assemblies
- Perform standard assembly functions in accordance with established production drawings, procedures, and military workmanship standards
- Perform repair operations as needed
- Apply paint and circuit board conformal coating to products in paint booth
- Perform self-inspection of work accomplished to assure compliance with production drawings, write-ups, and workmanship standards
- Perform changes or modifications per documented change or verbal instructions
- Meet deadlines of production tasks
- Keep worksite clean to avoid hazards and follow Company safety and quality guidelines
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality according to assigned schedule
- Other duties as needed or required
What we’re looking for:
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Proven experience in electronic assembly or related field
- Wiring and soldering experience for circuit boards and other electronics components required
- Must possess basic knowledge of electronic components and equipment
- Have ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, and procedures
- Requires specific visual abilities including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to identify and distinguish colors
- Requires ability to use basic hand tools
- experience with high-volume, low pressure spray painting and/or conformal coating a plus
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally as well as be able to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods
- Will wear hearing protection and breathing respirator while in paint spray booth
