What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Control Scheduler position at Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems (R2S)?
Role Summary: Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems LLC (R2S) Joint Venture is seeking to hire a highly motivated and dynamic Production Control Scheduler within the Operations & Production Facilities department.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems in a manufacturing environment and experience utilizing data-driven decision making to enable effective material and workforce forecasting. The role requires successful daily interaction with cross functional teams, and programs to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. The chosen candidate will create and execute plans and defined schedules that ensure on time MRP deliveries and support of financial objectives. Responsible for the data integrity of our MRP/ERP system as well as accountable to key performance indicators that measure plan and schedule execution. Responsible for the alignment of supply and demand with assurance of on-time contractual delivery and factory annual operating plan is achieved.
Other duties and responsibilities include:
- Material Availability Analysis, Tracking and Reporting
- Manage Kit Readiness including working with cross-functional team in mBOM, Material Master, Process Engineering, Operations and Document Control
- Releasing production orders in MRP system and confirming in shop floor system
- Coordinating kitting process with multiple stores and consolidation areas
- Provide production floor support including replacement part management, shop floor material staging, Work in Progress (WIP) movement through shared resource areas, completion of units in shop floor and MRP system, delivery to next step (inventory or shipment), and meeting MRP schedule.
- Controlling the physical disposition of nonconforming or specially handled material including Return to Vendor, purged material, WIP STOP per contractual restrictions, and configuration of components/sub-assemblies as required
- Maintaining integrity of the shop floor, MRP, and inventory systems through key performance metrics
- Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a related university degree with 8 years' industry experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience
- Experience to including planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, finance, project management or a related field
- Proven experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience in a government contracting environment with DoD and non- DoD customers
- Experience with the IFS ERP tool
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Work Location: 100% on-site in Camden, AR with some travel to Arlington, VA corporate office as needed.
Travel: 5% mainly within the United States
