RTX Technology Research Center’s Physical Sciences Department is seeking an innovative corrosion engineer / scientist. The candidate is intended to be an integral member of dynamic teams focused on advancing understanding of corrosion phenomena experienced in both aerospace and defense applications, as well as creating and advancing novel materials and coatings technologies for those applications.
What You Will Do :
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to execute complex internally and externally funded technology projects.
- Support the implementation and expansion of the corrosion- and coatings-related technology development strategy.
- Initiate innovative concepts, write proposals, market the concepts either internally or externally.
- Lead project execution.
- Generate intellectual property and publish / present technical findings.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
