Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for the management of security operations for the Raytheon Tewksbury, MA location with primary responsibilities as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) under the 32 CFR of Federal Regulation Part 117, National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Reporting to the Raytheon Associate Director of the Eastern Region.

They will provide oversight and leadership of the following elements:  Personnel & Facility clearances, Training & Briefings, Classification & Markings, Administrative Inquiries, Safeguarding, Classified Visits & Meetings, Classified Subcontracting, DoD Closed Areas and other NISP requirements.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Administer the company programs for handling and safeguarding classified and proprietary information.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with government and industry oversight agencies to facilitate inspections/audits of security programs and systems.

  • Write policy and procedures to enforce compliance with government and Company requirements in conjunction with RMD and Raytheon Technology standards.

  • You will investigate security violations and prepare reports detailing procedures to preclude future occurrences.

  • Coordinate with government agencies to obtain authorizations and acceptable deviations with regulations.

  • Closely work with other security cores. Including physical, cyber, mission areas and Special Programs where needed.

  • You will lead facility level Insider Threat Program, security incident response and workplace violence team

  • Provide guidance, subject matter expertise and mentorship to security personnel

  • Experience conducting NISP Self-inspections of varying complexity.

Qualifications You Must have:

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant professional security experience OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant professional security experience is required.

  • Expert knowledge of the NIPSOM, and all other applicable Government security policies and procedures

  • Proven experience interacting with Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency or other Cognizant Security Agency personnel

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required on day one of employment. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
