HybridRaytheon is seeking an Associate Director to serve as the Phase 3 Program Manager. FoS-2 is a Mission Systems Suite franchise for Raytheon Technologies that delivers a next generation sensor suite for a classified platform. The Phase 3 program is a Firm Fixed Price development program for a sensor suite including a Radar system and an Electro-Optic/Infrared (EOIR) system with an opportunity to add additional sensors to the mission suite.
This position is a hybrid position based in El Segundo, CA or McKinney, TX.
- Must be willing to travel domestically to suppliers and customers in support of program execution – up to 20%. This program utilizes Raytheon factories in Dallas, TX, McKinney, TX, and Forest, MS.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Responsible for the successful follow through of the Phase 3 contract.
Responsible for developing and leading a multi-disciplined, cohesive team to meet program and business goals.
Responsible for developing long range planning, annual operating plan, and meeting annual financial commitments for bookings, sales, profit, and cash.
This role requires excellent decision-making ability and exceptional communication and teamwork skills, frequently interacting with all levels of the business.
Responsible for strategic planning and contract growth through ECPs and margin expansion.
The role requires close partnership with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Mission Assurance to lead the design, procurement, build and test of hardware and software.
Responsible in leading regular review of program cost and schedule status including tracking and review by senior Key team members.
Requires extensive knowledge of engineering capabilities to ensure successful technical execution.
Requires extensive knowledge of Raytheon Intelligence and Space design processes, factory processes, procurement processes, and Mission Assurance processes.
Extensive knowledge of the transition to production and the ability to lead a design release into production is desired.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar Engineering discipline
12 years of relevant professional experience
Experience in leadership positions
Experience leading and participating in design and development activities
Experience preparing both technical and cost proposals
Experience with earned value management and other program management skills
Experience presenting challenging technical issues to senior key team members
An active and in-scope DoD US Secret security clearance with ability to obtain SAP clearance

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited
by local laws/regulations.
The salary range for this role is 152,000 USD - 304,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
