Job Description
Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries and improve their overall mobility and functionality. You will assist in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans to address the individual needs of each patient.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work closely with physical therapists to administer therapeutic exercises and modalities
- Monitor and report on the progress of patients during therapy sessions
- Educate patients on proper techniques and exercises to continue their recovery at home
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient treatment records
- Assist in setting up and maintaining therapy equipment
- Provide support and assistance to patients during their therapy sessions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with exercises and mobility
