Job Description
Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide rehabilitation services to patients. You will assist in implementing treatment plans, performing exercises, and monitoring progress to help patients regain mobility and improve overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the evaluation and assessment of patients' conditions
- Implement treatment plans as directed by the physical therapist
- Perform therapeutic exercises and modalities to help improve mobility and function
- Monitor and document patients' progress and communicate with the physical therapist
- Educate patients on exercises and activities to do at home to support their treatment plan
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patients during therapy sessions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with exercises
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and modalities
