Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to assist patients in their rehabilitation process. Your main duties will include implementing treatment plans, conducting therapeutic exercises, and providing support and guidance to patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the evaluation of patients and development of treatment plans
- Carry out therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the physical therapist
- Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions
- Provide education to patients on exercises and techniques for at-home care
- Communicate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care for patients
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with mobility and exercises
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques
