Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of physical therapists to help patients regain movement and manage pain. You will assist with exercises, massages, and other therapies to improve the overall well-being of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist patients with rehabilitative exercises and therapeutic activities.
2. Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising physical therapist.
3. Educate patients on how to properly perform exercises at home.
4. Administer modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
5. Maintain patient records and treatment plans.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best care for patients.
7. Provide support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation process.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
5. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques.
6. Physical stamina to assist patients with exercises and therapies.
7. CPR certification.
