Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide treatment to patients with various physical disabilities or injuries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercises.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the physical therapist.
2. Perform therapeutic exercises with patients to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility.
3. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
4. Educate patients on self-care techniques and exercises to continue at home.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
6. Assist with the setup and maintenance of therapy equipment.
7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. Current certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
5. Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques.
