Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain movement and manage pain. You will assist with exercises, modalities, and treatments to improve patient's overall physical health and well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Provide hands-on therapy to patients under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
2. Instruct patients on exercises and activities to improve their mobility and function.
3. Assist in the implementation of treatment plans devised by the Physical Therapist.
4. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the therapist.
5. Maintain patient records and documentation accurately.
6. Ensure the clinic environment is clean and safe for patients and staff.
7. Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
8. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercises.
9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. CPR certification.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work as part of a team.
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
7. Compassionate and patient-centered care approach.
8. Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with movement.
9. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques.
10. Continuing education to stay current on best practices in physical therapy.
