Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team and provide support to our physical therapists in delivering exceptional care and treatment to our patients. The primary role of the Physical Therapy Assistant is to assist in implementing therapeutic exercises and treatments, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring the overall well-being of individuals undergoing physical therapy.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
• Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
• Instruct and guide patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities
• Help patients with mobility and range of motion exercises
• Use therapeutic modalities under the direction of a physical therapist
• Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and techniques
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in patient care

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
• State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Empathy and compassion towards patients
• Ability to follow instructions and protocols
• Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with mobility exercises
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting patient progress
