Assistant Construction Superintendent—Belcourt, ND
We are currently engaging qualified professionals near the Belcourt, ND area to join our site production team and provide day-to-day operational support for construction projects.
This role collaborates with teams and individuals across the company, including subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and employees, to ensure compliance, safety, and on-time delivery of projects.
Key responsibilities include assisting the lead superintendent with managing all aspects of a project, from planning and acquiring materials and equipment to following the project plan to completion. Under the direction of the lead project superintendent, the assistant superintendent will manage and actively control assigned projects, including overseeing field operations, productivity, site safety, and quality of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the lead project superintendent in planning and oversight of all aspects of assigned construction projects
- Assist the lead superintendent in managing and implementing the project schedule, working closely with the Project Management team to keep the schedule updated and address any issues that arise
- Enforce quality control and safety standards to ensure compliance with all required policies.
- Collaborate closely with subcontractors and suppliers, and conduct daily huddles to ensure job site coordination and timely delivery of materials
- Display high work standards that are customer-driven, mirroring the organization’s standards of excellence
- Communicate tactfully and effectively with all stakeholders and team members
- Attend and facilitate required meetings and trainings
- Perform minor carpentry and other duties as needed
Qualifications (preferred)
- 1 year of experience supervising construction sites.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading
- Ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to run the site efficiently and effectively
- Knowledge and ability to enforce quality control and safety standards
- Possesses valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Excellent communications skills (interpersonal, verbal, and written)
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to various situations
- Ability to think strategically and manage execution
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable with regular computer usage, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other programs as required
Location
The work will be located near Belcourt, ND. Only applicants who reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Belcourt, ND area will be considered.
