Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Identify potential clients within city and municipal utility sectors, understanding their specific needs for construction services.
- Client Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in municipal governments and utility companies.
- Sales Strategy: Create tailored sales strategies to address the unique challenges of each prospective client, focusing on long-term partnerships.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed proposals that highlight our capabilities, project success stories, and competitive advantages.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure contracts, ensuring terms are favorable and align with company goals.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded during service delivery.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasting, and client interactions using CRM tools.
- Industry Representation: Attend trade shows, conferences, and municipal meetings to represent our company and network within the industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years in sales, preferably within the construction or utilities sector.
- Experience with city, municipal and government projects.
- Experience in commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of municipal bidding processes and contract management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand and discuss technical aspects of construction projects.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strategic thinker, problem-solver, with high integrity and professionalism.
