The Director of Engineering leads team leaders whose teams build and maintain the engineering of a large product suite. As a director, this person is responsible for connecting business area strategy and team goals to ensure they are aligned and interacting seamlessly.

Compensation Range: $105/hr - $136/hr. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. Responsibilities
- 3 years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- 5 years of experience developing and setting Marketing Technology strategy
- Salesforce Certified or Salesforce Marketing Cloud - Email Specialist (or higher) Certified
- Stay informed of trends and changes in the broader technology, business, Marketing Technology and Data, and regulatory landscapes
- Actively identifying and guiding optimization opportunities across the technology stack - specifically marketing technology and leveraging our tools to their fullest potential
- Mentor and support team leaders and team members relating to their role responsibilities and continued career development.
- Actively participate in OKR delegation for their team
- Work with higher level leader(s) to develop the strategic plan for their team
- Communicate and embody the culture, vision and overall direction of their team
- Lead, guide and evaluate the work of direct report leaders
- Work with senior/executive leadership to implement the strategic plan for their team
- Advocate for prioritizing and mitigating major incidents and drive the strategy around new processes that mitigate future incidents
- Strategically tie threads with senior leadership between business domains on the train, product stakeholders, cross-team relationships and cross-train relationships through extensive knowledge and understanding of business processes
- Collaborate with senior leadership in supported business areas to drive more efficient workflow processes Lead and support their team members/direct report leaders on their performance and career development goals
- Proactively collaborate with the Pulse and their leader on forecasting and staffing talent needs for their team
- Apply lean/Agile values and principles to a software delivery team
- Develop and refine best practices and process to guide teams through Agile methodology
- Make critical process improvement recommendations
- Support the intake and prioritization process for technology work requests for the supported group of technology teams
- Assist teams in capturing and breaking down delivery of more complex requests that require coordination between teams
3 years of experience in leadership and administration
- 5 years of experience in programming in Cocoa, Objective C, C#, HTML, .NET, PHP, Java or Progress
- Working knowledge of supported business domains
- Extensive knowledge of technology standards including architecture, design and integration patterns
- Thorough knowledge of different roles on their team and the responsibilities of each (ex. product owners, release train engineers, software engineers, architects and lower-level leadership)
- Understanding of work-item tracking tools, preferably Team Foundation Server (TFS), Jira, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with delegating work to support team efficiency
- Demonstrated proficiency in connecting tasks to strategic opportunities
- Demonstrated ability in strategic thinking and goal prioritization
- Proven track record of setting and accomplishing team goals that align with OKR paths
5 years of management, leadership and administration experience
- 7 years of experience in programming in Cocoa, Objective C, C#, HTML, .NET, PHP, Java or Progress
- 5 years of experience in a product engineering role, software testing and design or relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, a related field or equivalent experience
