CNC Tech Manager – Machine Shop Startup
We are seeking a CNC Tech Manager to lead the startup of a new machine shop. This role requires a highly skilled individual with extensive knowledge of CNC machines, a hands-on approach, and strong leadership abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the setup and launch of the machine shop
- Operate CNC machines initially until additional staff is onboarded
- Assist in selecting and acquiring new machinery
- Develop and implement efficient setup and fixturing processes
- Manage hiring, training, and performance evaluations of shop personnel
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations with a focus on productivity and efficiency
Required Skills & Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of CNC machines and their operation
- Proficiency in Inventor and G-code programming
- Experience with Haas machines
- Strong management and leadership skills, including hiring and firing
- Ability to set up and fixture jobs effectively
- A collaborative and professional approach to working with others
- Strategic vision for improving productivity and shop efficiency
