Job Summary:
The Safety Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing the HR and safety functions across all company locations. This role is essential in ensuring the organization adheres to all regulatory standards, fosters a safe and productive work environment, and supports the company’s overall growth by managing recruitment, training, and employee relations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Agricultural Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local HR and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in policy development, employee relations, and disciplinary procedures.
- Experience with DHS, EHS, & DOT (Class B) compliance
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations across seven states, staying up-to-date with changes and implementing necessary adjustments in company policies and practices.
- Recruitment & Hiring: Manage the company's recruiting and interviewing programs, facilitating smooth onboarding processes, and overseeing staffing needs for all locations.
- Employee Management: Oversee employee hiring, training, and compensation, supporting all locations in managing personnel growth and development.
- Policy Development: Regularly update and introduce new employee policies to align with industry standards and promote a positive workplace.
